About Us

Friends of the Carnegie

The Friends of the Carnegie, a volunteer group of community members, works to enrich the life of our community and awareness of historic preservation through the use of our historic Carnegie Library.

The City of Bemidji owns the building and we work closely with them to coordinate and promote events and activities at the Library.

Our board members are Suzanne Liapis, President; Sandy Kaul, Vice President; Kay Murphy, Secretary; Catherine Marchand, Treasurer; Deb Ostman; Lauree Bahr; and Judy Dvorak.
